Celebrate our summer reading theme of “A Universe of Stories”! Enjoy stories, crafts, and breakfast. No registration required for this free program. For ages 2-10.
1st and 3rd Thursday, 4:30 – 5:30 PM
We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination. Build a creation, by yourself or in a group. Display it in the library until the next meeting, when we will dismantle it, and make something new! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free program for all ages, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.
Lego Block Party
Fourth Saturday of the month, 1 – 2 PM
Each session we will build, in a group or on your own, a fabulous creation then play with family and friends. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free program for all ages, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.
PAWS for Reading
First Saturday of the Month, 11 AM
Practice literacy skills by reading aloud to a well-trained therapy dog from PAWS for People (Pet-Assisted Visitation Volunteer Services). Read to either Cooper or Wesley, for double the sessions available! Dog and owner will be here for six individual 10-minute sessions. All readers must be pre-registered to participate. Free Program.
First Saturday of the month, 1 – 2 PM
All aboard for fun, when we bring out the library’s collection of GeoTrax trains! Use tracks, buildings, and other accessories to create awesome setups. Then enjoy open playtime with your work! For ages 3 and up, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.
Children’s programs at the Avon Grove Library are held in the Children’s Activity Room, just beyond the elevator in the lobby and are free unless otherwise noted. Most programs do not require registration. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Find our Storytimes, on the Storytime Page!
NEW BAD WEATHER POLICY: Morning programs are cancelled if the Avon Grove Library is closed. Afternoon or evening programs are cancelled if the library is closed or closes early. Updated cancellations will be posted in the Library’s Blog and on our Facebook Page.
