We’re gathering together to celebrate the season of giving thanks! Join us for exciting stories, creative crafts, and a delicious breakfast. Program is free and open to children ages 2-10. No registration is required.

November 9, 1:30 PM

Avon Grove Library and the Jennersville Performing Arts Center are collaborating to offer families and children of all ages an afternoon of winter-themed stories, treats, and a meet and greet with the cast of JPAC’S upcoming performance of Frozen Jr. Registration is required to this free program.


nerfNerf Battle

November 15, 5:30 – 7 PM

B.Y.O.N.G.[Bring Your Own Nerf Guns]

Come after hours to the library for a fun night of nerf battles! Play in the stacks of the library after hours with friends. Must bring your own nerf guns to participate. This program is free and open to K-12 graders. Registration is required! Limited to 20 participants.


kindnessKindness Day Care and Share

November 16, 11 AM – 1 PM

Patrons of all ages can come to the library to make cards and small gift for distribution at local organizations such as nursing homes, hospitals, and more! No registration required to this free program.

Lego Club

1st and 3rd Thursday, 4:30 – 5:30 PM

We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination. Build a creation, by yourself or in a group. Display it in the library until the next meeting, when we will dismantle it, and make something new! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free program for all ages, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.


 

Lego Block Party

Fourth Saturday of the month, 1 – 2 PM

Each session we will build, in a group or on your own, a fabulous creation then play with family and friends. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free program for all ages, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.


 

Reading to WillowPAWS for Reading

First Saturday of the Month, 11 AM

Practice literacy skills by reading aloud to a well-trained therapy dog from PAWS for People (Pet-Assisted Visitation Volunteer Services). Read to either Cooper or Wesley, for double the sessions available! Dog and owner will be here for six individual 10-minute sessions. All readers must be pre-registered to participate. Free Program.


trainGeoTrax Build and Play

First Saturday of the month, 1 – 2 PM

All aboard for fun, when we bring out the library’s collection of GeoTrax trains! Use tracks, buildings, and other accessories to create awesome setups. Then enjoy open playtime with your work! For ages 3 and up, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.


Children’s programs at the Avon Grove Library are held in the Children’s Activity Room, just beyond the elevator in the lobby and are free unless otherwise noted. Most programs do not require registration.  Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Find our Storytimes, on the Storytime Page!

NEW BAD WEATHER POLICY: Morning programs are cancelled if the Avon Grove Library is closed. Afternoon or evening programs are cancelled if the library is closed or closes early. Updated cancellations will be posted in the Library’s Blog and on our Facebook Page.
