For ages 6 – 9 years old. Bring your pillows and blankets and come listen as Miss Sarah reads aloud from chapter books! Over a series of weeks, read a book from start to finish with plenty of cliffhangers in-between. Then, we’ll celebrate the end of each book with a project or activity! 1st through 5th graders are invited to come and learn about a new aspect of science each week. Learn through demonstrations, activities, and crafts! No registration required to this free program.

Join Avon Grove Library for an interactive story and yoga program! Pat McKeon, an instructor at The Light Within yoga studio, will teach children the basics of yoga. This free program is for ages 4 and up and their caregivers. Please bring a beach towel and wear socks. Limited to 12 children. Registration is required.

Families are invited to bring their pillows and blankets to read in pre-made forts between the library’s book stacks! All ages are welcome. We’ll have snacks and plenty of books to choose from! Come anytime between 6 and 8 PM! No registration required to this free program.

Use your deduction skills on this escape room based on the book “Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library” by Chris Grabenstein. Use clues to help solve the mystery of how to escape! You don’t have to have read the book to enjoy the fun! Program is free and open to 3rd through 5th graders. Registration is required! A minimum of 4 children in each session is required.

We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination. Build a creation, by yourself or in a group. Display it in the library until the next meeting, when we will dismantle it, and make something new! PAWS for Reading
First Saturday of the Month, 11 AM
Practice literacy skills by reading aloud to a well-trained therapy dog from PAWS for People (Pet-Assisted Visitation Volunteer Services). Read to either Cooper or Wesley, for double the sessions available! Dog and owner will be here for six individual 10-minute sessions. All readers must be pre-registered to participate. Free Program.
First Saturday of the month, 1 – 2 PM
All aboard for fun, when we bring out the library’s collection of GeoTrax trains! Use tracks, buildings, and other accessories to create awesome setups. Then enjoy open playtime with your work! For ages 3 and up, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.
Children’s programs at the Avon Grove Library are held in the Children’s Activity Room, just beyond the elevator in the lobby and are free unless otherwise noted. Most programs do not require registration. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Find our Storytimes, on the Storytime Page!
BAD WEATHER POLICY: Morning Programs are cancelled if the Avon Grove School District has a delayed opening or is closed. Afternoon or Evening Programs are cancelled if the schools are closed or close early. Updated cancellations will be posted in the Library’s Blog and on our Facebook Page.
