Harry Potter Book Night

The Professors of Hogwarts, a special Harry Potter Book Night party at Avon Grove Library.
We promise you an evening of wizarding fun and the chance to discover and share the magical world of Harry Potter. Free program for wizards 3 and over, no registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Come in costume and keep your wands at the ready!

We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination. Build a creation, by yourself or in a group. Display it in the library until the next meeting, when we will dismantle it and make something new! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free program for all ages, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.
First Saturday of the Month, 11 AM
Practice literacy skills by reading aloud to a well-trained therapy dog from PAWS for People (Pet-Assisted Visitation Volunteer Services). Dog and owner will be here for six individual 10-minute sessions. All readers must be pre-registered to participate. Free Program.
GeoTrax Build and Play
First Saturday of the month, 1 – 2 PM
All aboard for fun, when we bring out the library’s new collection of GeoTrax trains! Use tracks, buildings, and other accessories to create awesome setups. Then enjoy open playtime with your work! For ages 3 and up, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.

Lego Block Party
Fourth Saturday of the month, 1 – 2 PM
Each session we will build, in a group or on your own, a fabulous creation then play with family and friends. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free program for all ages, held in the Community Room. No registration needed.
Children’s programs at the Avon Grove Library are held in the Children’s Activity Room, just beyond the elevator in the lobby and are free unless otherwise noted. BAD WEATHER POLICY: Morning Programs are cancelled if the Avon Grove School District has a delayed opening or is closed. Afternoon or Evening Programs are cancelled if the schools are closed or close early. Updated cancellations will be posted in the Library’s Blog and on our Facebook Page.
