AVON GROVE LIBRARY
COMMUNITY KNITTING PROJECT
We are working on a blanket to be donated to a disabled veteran in honor of his/her service to all of us.
If you would like to knit a square, please take a pattern and ball of yarn (available at the Circulation Desk).
If you would like to help, but don't knit, please add a ball of red, white or blue yarn to the basket at the Desk.
ADOPT A PLATOON
Avon Grove Library is one of several drop off sites for “Adopt-a-Platoon,” sponsored by the West Grove-Avondale Rotary Club.
Help our troops stationed in Iraq by donating items such as: pre-paid phone cards, magazines (Sports Illustrated, Men’s Health), stationery paper, toiletries, hand sanitizer, boot socks (black or
OD green), jerky, power bars, dried fruit, or pre-packaged cheese and crackers. A complete list is available, posted next to the drop off boxes placed in the main library.
These are both on-going events.
