How You Can Help
The Avon Grove Library depends upon the support of patrons and friends to ensure that it can continue to provide a diverse spectrum of programs, services and materials to the Avon Grove community. Gifts to the library have fostered programs such as:
- Summer Reading
- After School Crafts and Reading
- Hispanic Outreach
- Genealogy
- Toddler and Preschool Crafts and Story Times
- Parent and Child Reading and Craft Workshops
How can you support the Avon Grove Library?
Donate online!
- Volunteer your time on a regular basis or occasionally for special events.
Library volunteers, ages 14 and older, help process library material, shelve books and enter computer data. Volunteers are also needed to organize and run special library events.
- Donate to the Annual Fund. For your convenience, an annual appeal form is available for download. Our nonprofit status makes your donation tax deductible.
Attend special fund raising events. Our annual fundraiser, Books and Bordeaux, is a lively evening where our supporters enjoy a five- course gourmet meal paired with exquisite wines. Entertainment continues throughout the evening with door prizes, raffles and the opportunity to participate in live and silent auctions.
- Consider a planned gift to the Library.
Your estate planning professional can advise you about ways to secure a bright future for the library through wills or trusts. Also, please remember that you can designate the Avon Grove Library as the beneficiary of your Southern Chester County or Delaware United Way contributions.
- Become a member of the Avon Grove Friends of the Library.
The Friends of the Library meet the third Tuesday of each month in the library at 7:00pm. The meetings are open to the public and all can join. Download a membership form if you are interested. But you don't need to join to come to a meeting.
