Teen Programs

These programs are for teens entering sixth grade through graduating seniors.  Some programs may require a materials fee.

Fridays, 5:30 – 7 PM

Join Avon Grove Library starting on Friday, June 23, for snacks, games, and activities! Each week has something different! For grades 6 – 12. No registration required. All programs are at Avon Grove Library unless otherwise noted.

June 23: Stepping StonesCome make stepping stones for the library’s garden and more!

June 30: Yarn Painting – Come paint with yarn and other crafts!

July 7: Tye-Dye Day – You bring the shirt, we’ll provide the rest! Come tye-dye with us!

July 14, 6 – 8 PM, at Penn Township Park: Escape Room / Karaoke Party – Join us at Penn Township Park for an escape room, karaoke, food, and more!

July 21: Library Olympics – Compete in the Library Olympics with games such as: book cart racing, book stacking, and more!

August 4: Bob Ross Paint Party – Let out your creativity with paint! Watch Bob Ross videos, paint with squirt guns, and more!

August 11: Spa Day – Come relax as we make face masks, paint nails, drink smoothies and more!


Teen Writing Workshop

Next Meeting: September 16, 12:00 – 1:00 PM

Do you love to write? Teens in grades 6 – 12 can discover more about creative writing and how to find your voice. No experience necessary. Meets the third Saturday of every month.

There will be no meeting in August due to the Summer Reading Closing Party.

YA Book Club

Next Meeting: September 16, 1:00 – 2:00 PM

Book Lovers Unite! For grades 9-12, this book club will feature young adult books of all genres. Come read and discuss! Meets the third Saturday of every month.

Teen Service Club

Earn service hours, make friends, and help out the library at Teen Service Club!  Help prepare crafts and activities for storytimes.  The club meets on Tuesdays, from 3:30-5 PM from the beginning of September through the end of May.

BAD WEATHER POLICY: Morning Programs are cancelled if the Avon Grove School District has a delayed opening or is closed. Afternoon or Evening Programs are cancelled if the schools are closed or close early. Updated Cancellations will be posted on our library’s Facebook Page.
