To sign up for a Library Card at the Library:
- Adults complete the Adult Library Card Application
- Proper identification with a current address must be provided in person when applying
- Designate any persons that you would allow to pick up reserved items for you
Minors’ Library Cards (under age 18):
- Complete a Minor’s Library Card Application
- Parent or guardian must sign the form and present their identification in person when applying for a card for a minor under 18. The minor getting the card must also be present at the time of application
- Minors’ cards expire when cardholders reaches 18 years of age
Renew your Library Card:
The Chester County Library System has a 3 year renewal requirement for all adult cardholders. Expired cards cannot be used to borrow or renew materials, place holds, or download e-materials. Library cards are renewed in person. Expiration dates can be found on your online account.
- Complete an Adult Library Card Application

Minors (under age 18)
If you obtained your library card prior to June 2013 you must re-register your library card at a CCLS member library. Minor’s cards expire when the cardholder reaches 18 years of age.
- Patrons under age 18 complete a Minor’s Library Card Application
- Parent or guardian must sign and present identification for children age 18 and under
